Pope Leo meets with the President of Croatia, Zoran Milanović

Zoran Milanović, President of the Republic of Croatia, was received on Friday morning, 31 October by Pope Leo XIV at the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican. Following the meeting with Pope Leo, he met with Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State, who was accompanied by Msgr. Daniel Pacho, Undersecretary for the Multilateral Sector of the Section for Relations with States and International Organizations.
Talks at the Secretariat of State
"During the cordial discussions" at the Secretariat of State, the Holy See Press Office reported, "the parties expressed their appreciation for the good existing bilateral relations, and discussed various topics of an international and regional nature, with particular attention to the region of the Western Balkans and to regional cooperation."
After the audience at the Vatican, Milanović is scheduled to visit the Pontifical Croatian College of St. Jerome, where he will meet with Croatian students from Rome’s Catholic universities.
